My favorite abelia is Abelia Grandiflora. Kin to honeysuckle, the glossy green leaves explode with rust colored petals that end with small, white flowers shaped like trumpets, or bells. The semi-evergreen shrub can be used almost year round, but I use it most in the fall when the rust color is prominent.
